Tabor Living’s projects wouldn’t be possible without the network of people who dedicate their time and expertise to our mission of providing better opportunities for people experiencing homelessness.
The Tabor Living Management committee is made up of representatives from organisations including the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham, Father Hudson’s Caritas, Housing Justice, and St Anne’s Parish. In addition to a select number of local philanthropists and business people who are passionate in helping deliver our projects.
All Tabor Living projects operate under Father Hudson’s Caritas, who employ and manage our small and experienced staff team.
Tabor Living’s projects rely on a dedicated team of volunteers, who help us by working in shifts at both Tabor Living and Tabor Cottage. Each location operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so our volunteer network is crucial in helping us deliver the much-needed support that we provide to our guests.
We currently have around 50 volunteers but we are always looking to recruit more people, from all walks of life, who can get involved. Our volunteering tasks include everything from cooking, cleaning and facilitating guest activities, to training in our strength-based mentoring and helping guests to achieve their goals.
