Tabor Living is blessed to have a fabulous volunteer network that supports the project across weekly hospitality shifts and befriending roles.
Volunteers usually come in on a weekly or fortnightly basis (although we welcome any time a volunteer can offer) and help prepare evening meals, engage with our guests, and take time to make our guests feel welcome and at home. Shifts operate every evening across the week (7 days) and Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons. Volunteers also support the project during the weekday daytime at a time to suit their needs.
We have an increasing number of befrienders whose role is to work alongside Tabor Living Case Workers supporting guests to reach their individual goals.
Volunteers are at the heart of all we do at Tabor Living and I want to take this opportunity on behalf of Sharon (Project Manager) and all the staff team to thank you all for the dedication you give…..
To kick-start Volunteers’ Week, last Sunday, we had a 3-mile walk at Cannon Hill Park followed by refreshments. I was joined by Tara and her very well-behaved puppy, Mindy, Eleanor, and Becky on a lovely sunny afternoon (see photo to the right).
